WWII T5 Fuel Tank

Camouflage Fuel Tank T5 is one of three constructed for the navy between 1938 and 1942. The roof was built to look like regular quarters to deter Japanese air attacks during world war II. This space exhibits the most unique acoustic response from all the areas explored as part of this project. When producing loud bursts of sound, its cylindrical construction causes a sound to bounce around, causing dotted delay-type patterners. The IR features throughout the composition titled The Void.(Crawford, 2015)
